RS2000 MK2 RESORATION - FOR THE BRAVE / STUPID
Discussion
A 1978 (S reg) roll top model. In white with 4 previuos owners. I've had it 10 years. Just under 90k on clock.
No vynl or sunroof. Has speaker holes in front & rear cards.
Not lowered, Princess calipers with vented discs, 4 speed. Brand new full stainless exh system from 105 Speed.
Matching Vin and engine numbers. has had a repaint on the outside, Inside boot has pdi stickers and a hardly used original spare tyre/wheel.
Seats could do with recovering, as it is pretty much original. has been Waxoiled at some point, as the holes and grommets are in the door-shuts.
freshly re-con engine with Cosworth steel crank and rods, forged Wossner pistons, steel flywheel to suit crank bolt hole pattern, stage 1 head with bigger inlets, hi-torque cam, new followers, springs etc, elec ign. new water pump, hi press oil pump, ARP rod bolts.
I've had it running but it needs ign timing setting and a little tdying up here and there.
No t&t, as it's been stored at a friends garage, as have no time to use/look after it, hence reason for sale.
Here is a couple of older pics but it still looks the same.

Mine went for £7k in the end. My uncle bought it.
Fair enough price for a family member taking it on.You'd have got a lot more on the open market.
My cousin sold his Mk2 RS2 for more than half that value and it was partly dismantled and needed a LOT of work doing to the body and mechanicals....and it had glass sunroof and other 'issues'.
