Wow, more of a resurrection than a restoration. Massive effort.

What are you going to do for painting the body? Strip it down again or attack it as is?

I have agree with this, it would be a crying shame after all the effort elsewhere, to leave the bulkhead panel/tunnel repairs looking like that......

Sort those single leaf spring hanger clamps out as well wink

Why not wait until we see the end result eh ? agreed a top of the range oven is nice, but some good quality paintwork can be done with a less than perfect booth.

Yes I think your right there , i think i will get some hammerite smooth & save myself a few quid & hand brush it while i am off over the festive period

Back in the late 70's I did a bottom half respray on an MGB and a full respray of a Hillman Imp

Using Mummy's vacuum cleaner

Mummy was not amused at the primer and red paint on the air tube.....

I like the alarm system.

I'm at the same stage project wise - resurrection of an 8 owner 27 year old classic Mini (or rather shell and collection of bits). Why? With current winter garage temps I'm struggling to answer that question... hehe

Brilliant project - Keep going.
