It's great when you get a freshly painted shell back. On the one hand you're scared to go near it with any tools in case you scratch it and on the other hand you can't wait to make a start.

Great work.

Oh and see how many people say it will only take a couple of weeks and it will be finished now. I'm into over 600 hors since this stage and although not finished the end is in sight (maybe).

Good effort ! Had one of these in 1980, a terracotta custom DHD787V, will be watching your progress with interest .

Aye, keep it up, a good mate of mine has restored a number of them and is very well known in RSOC circles, i have owned around 5 in the past, wish i had still had them now !
Also owned a couple of MK1's

Nice work Jon - looking good.

You have got to my favourite part of any restoration. Before that point, and as you take more and more bits off it just looks worse and worse. Now it just gets better and better.

Mind you it would doubtless have needed the same attention as yours by now, at least once - 70's Fords did rust a bit!
