Talbot Tagora SX
Discussion
I and one of these for month in 1986 iirc. It was definitely the 2.6. My memories are that it was surprisingly quick once rolling but that corners were best avoided unless you had scrubbed off any serious speed. I also remember it being comfortable. So no real criticisms. After all, there are plenty of moderns with straight line poke and that are not much use when it comes to twisty roads. The Tagora was never a sports cars and shouldn't be judged as one. An interesting curiosity from the past.

Ten Tagoras for sale on this French website, with 3 SX's. Not sure if it's the 2.6 a they don't quote engine size.

Any good?
It has to be RHD for me I'm afraid. Anyway, that would be too easy!http://www.ooyyo.net/used-talbot-tagora-for-sale/f...

I have someone looking into the Maltese connection, hopefully something will turn up.

I'm tempted to eBay some rare spares my dad's got like headlamps and back lights just to see what they'd go for.
You'd have a ready market, as Tagora headlights were used on later Bristol Brigands. Could there now be more Brigands than Tagoras left? One guy I know was told that if he ever needs a new headlight for his Brigand he'll probably have to buy a complete Tagora.tog said:

As owner of said Bristol Brigand, I've tracked down a lhd headlight for a very reasonable £25, but do you by any chance have an o/s rhd drive one that you might let me have please?
Thanks,
Ben
Sorry, only just seen this. Thanks,
Ben
I really doubt he would want to part with them, don't ask me why.
Ah well. If he surprises you and says yes to letting one go, please let me know! There's a very sad looking Brig with a squint now...

My previous projects proved mildly difficult to find, (Hunter GLS five years, Audi 200 5T four years) so I'm looking for something a little more challenging for my next one.
Doomed from the start, ugly but also underrated and quite capable.
And the sound of the triple carbed V6
The hunt begins for a RHD Talbot Tagora SX.....
Still looking? There is a RHD Tagora SX in Worcestershire, needs a bit of work....Doomed from the start, ugly but also underrated and quite capable.
