Hi MACP

I was at the Show today - really enjoyed it - lots of very very nice cars (you did not include a picture of mine - but that is not a problem..)

Did you notice that when Andrew Greenwood (the Organiser) called the cars into the showring area the 80's cars were the most popluar?

Some good 80's cars that made a bow:

Astra GTE mk1
Capril 1.6GL
Toyota Celica
RS2000
XR3i

This is a really good show - make a note - for next year.

It was ok, we all piled into the Dodge and went over as it's local. Lots of dull modern stuff diluted things somewhat for us, but there were still a few gems to be found. I preferred the bloke doing the commentary yesterday, compared to whoever did it in previous years.

Hi Shez

Sorry buddy I would definitely have taken a pic of your car had I seen it.I left at 3pm so maybe I missed you.Mind you there were a lot of cars there that day and I knew I would miss something.

Yes your right 80`s cars were very in evidence which im happy about as 70`s & 80`s stuff is definitely my bag.

The only prob is it left me desperately wanting an old Jag or Merc.Something biggish and comfy

Highlight for me was probably seeing BRG E-Type Roadster reg. 77 RW parked in a line of 60s cars.

Yes, that must be a local car, it was at the Gold Cup last weekend too.

Also some others that caught my eye:

77 RW is a very very famous E-Type one of the very first models. It must be worth £200K (at least) yet it was parked amongst all the other classic's as if was a run of mill jobby worth a grand. Loved the car and owner for that!!!
