Gorgeous!
Right, I am thinking of getting one (I have wanted one for so long).
Do you think they are in a price bubble at the moment? Is it worth waiting to see if market cools?
Anyone got a crystal ball?
Just ask the SL Shop - they forecast that they will rise...as do most other people...£16,000 will get you a nice tidy late model, now.Right, I am thinking of getting one (I have wanted one for so long).

This time next year - could easily be £20k?

What is the hosue view on sports check versus leather?
Are ones with sports check harder to sell?
Hi - the seat material is really not "that" important, with a 107, these are the important buying and selling points:Are ones with sports check harder to sell?
1. Condition of the vehicle - especially the bulkhead - proof it is either OK or has been done is really important.
2. Condition of the body - they do rust more or less everywhere - even the late glavanised body variants.
3. Service history - you must expect to find a vast history, early days of the cars life - MB service history - last ten years - good indie (MB only ideally!).
4. Colour - some colours are more in demand than others - this drives the interior trim colour too.
5. The bumpers - they are chrome and rot out - SL Shop do kits but they are still expensive and can be very time consuming to do.
Remember many 107's are still used every day - and are not seen by the owners as "classic's" these can be very good or dogs!
I would look at as many as you can - the SL Shop are good (obviously top dollar) but indies also have cars coming in for servicing that the owner is planning to sell - whack a wanted sign in the reception??
Good luck - sold mine in Sept..some days I am sorry its gone........

Stunning condition, that has to be a concours car.
ThanksA nice car for sure but not concours by todays standards but my 4000 miler would be.
I spent circa 9k on this grey car and that has only done 40k.
9k on odds and sods inc rear light lenses at 700 quid.
Steering box rebuild was the best money I spent....makes a HUGE difference to the steering along with steering dampers etc
This is the rear arch of the 4k car....I will post more pics up when it's been buffed

That's a restored car tooVPR, is that typical running cost spend (assume I get a £25kbstabdard car from SL Shop) or are you just a perfectionist (or maybe the car was scruffy?
I have run an F355 so know a bit about expensive running costs, but I was of the impression they were not too expensive to run.
It would be a weekend car and kept in a garage.

From running my pagoda and r129 they're really as expensive as you make them. It's all going to come down to what you're happy driving. Main difference being they're likely to keep soldiering on even when neglected rather than you continually "having" to spend money.I have run an F355 so know a bit about expensive running costs, but I was of the impression they were not too expensive to run.
