Did about 30 London miles today criss crossing town and apart from the drivers side brake binding (hot wheel and smells of burning) it's running great. I assume the brake issue is due to lack of use, it's only done 800 miles since the £1600 service 11 months ago - part of which was to "deglaze and skim" the front brakes.

Great photo CY88.
Pulled my 420SL out of the garage today and took it down the lane for a quick run. Booked in for big service next month and needs new tyres as current ones are way old. Then time to do some cruising smokin

just got my 89 r107 out from winter slumber. Started first time thankfully. I think that I have some tasty cars but the 107 just has something that modern cars lack "style". To drive on a sunny day with the roof down is one of life's gratest pleasures (to me atleast). Bought mine Dec 2012 with just 24k miles now has 28k and is in totally original condition including all bring work, paint and interior. Some pics attached. Hope it works as this is the first time I have attempted to load pics.

You do have some nice cars Paul - but that is a cracker. I have sat with you in a few fields (oh OK then MB Club meets!) and admired her...

Thanks for the compliments Mark I managed to win the National Concours with it last year, well chuffed. Bet you miss yours. Do you intend to get another? Off to watch the eclipse now.

What an awesome pic. I would turn that into a canvas for the garage.

The red G reg above is stunning! White one looks like a superb buy as well.

Thanks for the kind words about my picture, guys. Much appreciated! The kids seem to love squeezing into the rear seats - I think because it's nice and snug, yet they still get a clear view compared to modern convertibles. smile

Steering wheel is available on exchange from Eris.de Germany. I think it was approx £400 on exchange or £450 if you keep your own.

The steering wheel does look cool. Were they available like that in the 80s?

Thanks Mark. This year I will be in the Masters which as you know is the big boys league - got to do some more cleaning
I am sure you will be back sometime, once a Merc owner nothing else quite comes up to scratch.
