The US has done so many wonderful things, but the styling changes demanded for the US market here are not the high point of MB design! The boot light is the nadir I think.

Yes, if it wasnt such a clean car, I'd convert it to Euro lights and bumpers, but it is clean so it will maintain all the US spec goodies like 02 sensor, 85 mph speedo , bumpers, headlight and 3rd brake light

Looks a nice car, and I know you'll look after it! Enjoy it.

Looks mint. Quite an unusual colour, isn't it?
The one I bought? It's DB735 Astral Silver. Pretty common I repainted my 6.9 in that color and my XJ12C for that matter smile

Here’s my 380 SL, bought earlier this year. Needs a new hood and a few other bits that are a bit beyond my DIY skills. Anyone know any good specialists in South West? Or is SL Shop a good bet?

These were my old SLC's

1981 Mercedes Benz 500SLC originally anthracite but repainted black. Pretty rare ABS option

May I offer you one of my testicles in exchange for the wheels smile
I would love a set of those for mine.

And to the other poster, buy one, the way things are we may all be dead in a few years wink

Ha! I still have those wheels. I kept them when I sold the car and put them on my 560SEC. I actually traded those wheels for a set of 14" Bundt alloys

I have an equally lairy set of wheels on my 500SL. I should really swap them out and put the Lorinsers on the SL. They ide much better
