Single mirror, no headrest, keep fit windows and clock in the centre of the dash - that is a super early one! https://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/index.php?threa...

Found my original post of 10 years ago!!
Anyway, the R107 was one car i really regretted selling so i was fortunate enough to find another 300SL earlier this year. Must use it more in 2024 rather than the few hundred miles it covered!

Well that’s a blast from the past, still got mine but now with a massive 15k miles on it as I have used for 2 trips to france and the LMC last year.
Still as lovely as ever so long as your in no rush to get anywhere lol.
Also managed to pick up a watch to go with it, albeit for a 450.

My '81 500SL has been sitting under my covered car port for 8 years, gets a start once or twice a year. Run it up to coolant temp, up and down the drive, and then it goes back to sleep again.
I need to recommission it, since it's now MOT free and £0 VED, early spring and then "for sale". Hard to put a price on it, since it's not concours, very little tin worm (clean bulkhead). They seem to go for anywhere between £5-£35k?
Completely original, other than replacement front wings and rear arches.
