Some Celebs used their personal name when registering a car and others ( like Elton John ) used a company name which in his case was W.Bong.
I can confirm this having had an ex EJ Bentley for while- William A. Bong Ltd.! The logbook was signed by him too, using his full name, Elton Hurcules John!!!My 60 Lincoln coupe was formerly owned by a Congressman, Kenneth Gray of Illinois. Not sure if that's something to be proud of haha. I'm told JFK rode in it but can't prove it and have my doubts.
My 54 Ford belonged to a rather unknown preacher from Shreveport, Louisiana but was used in the civil rights movement including getting shot at by the Ku Klux Klan and being impounded by the Birmingham, Alabama police during the protests there in the 60s.
I once owned an E34 BMW 735i that was owned by none other than a Jermoe J "Jerry" Garcia of the Grateful Dead. If I remember right it was titled to GDM inc or GDM Management.
My E28 M5 was originally leased to the Ralph Lauren corporation and was sold new out of the BMW dealer in Southampton, NY so who knows.

Shamelessly copied from the Classic cars auction report:-
....... and the actual 1949 Triumph 2000 Roadster famously endorsed by Jersey TV-Tec Jim Bergerac (long before actor John Nettles was promoted to Midsomer of multiple murder infamy!), for which a just below guide price £23,000 was accepted. A 1968 Morris Minor 1000 two-door, which was the first car of a pre-Countess of Wessex Sophie Rhys-Jones raised a far from humble £4600.

A relative owns Jimmy Saville's Rolls Royce and registration plate.

Is that 'Mint & Boxed' the expensive old toy car place?'Mint & Boxed' that had some VAT issues many moons ago if I recall correctly, car,s still a daily driver.
A friend of mine has just bought a Reliant Scimitar GTE. A 36 year old, two owner car where the last owner had it for 34 years. The V5 states "first owner's name undisclosed" and the previous owner has no idea who it was.
So it rolled around for two years prior to being sold on. The thought is that it's a Princess Anne car as she owned eight of them but documenting it is proving difficult.

If you're a chap of a certain age (alas), you'll know just what bit of my anatomy perked up when I saw Felicity Kendall's white Mercedes 190 on sale. Doubtless with a perfect imprint of the famed 'rear of the year' in the driver's seat.
Woulda, shoulda, coulda. But didn't.
One of the guys on the NSX forum just bought one of Senna's NSXs (asking price was £80000).

Peter Sellers had some cars, but I didn't know he had a Savage Escort, bet he had some fun with that ! Especially in the wet ! Any photos of it ?
Circa 1969, a pal of my late Dads had the Basket weave Ex Sellers Cooper S. Sellers sold it to Anthony Newley who in turn sold it to my Dads pal. I remember standing next to it at ( Waltham Abbey Gun Club ) as if it were yesterday. It's still around I believe.
Peter Jones also had a Blue Bentley bought new in 2002 ish.
