Now I'm more aware I'll keep an eye on it.
That's probably all it'll take.

It comes in handy to know where dead-ahead is on the wheel in an old slippery bus like the E12!

chris
Your car was properly epic. No footage I'm afraid as I didn't have my camera in the car until the afternoon. In any case you'd be just a blur going past!
:-)
thanks. it was probably my last outing in it, to be safe, as its going up for sale at the goodwood revival. would be nice to see if any footage exists! cracking day, was knackerred when i got home, lost half a stone in weight lol!

The Lola rep is featured in PawnSacrifice's clip above, albeit briefly.

I can't believe I've only just seen this thread!

I would have loved to be there (I'll come if there's a next one).

We've got all the kit for track days - tartan rugs, wicker hampers, deck chairs etc.

Seriously though, it would be great to get the Q4 on the track again - according to the paperwork we got when we bought it, it spent a lot of time on track!

Thanks Matt. My word, you were bloody quick in your 924S, I genuinely spanked my 968 trying to hold you off for a few laps! Nice to see you.
Thanks, and especially pleasing to hear after you, pre Rallye des Jonquille, described the 924 S as 'something to overtake'! More importantly it was a a lot of fun, the tyres were completely knackered - it was spinning up in 3rd at the pit exit corner!

A few photos on Flickr - I would have taken more but got a little carried away on track / distracted drinking coffee and telling lies...

Sooo funny. Had a brilliant time, managed to get all 4 tyres smoking! Front brakes now leaking....

Thanks Rich.

Great write up and some cracking photos Rich (altho mine was only smoking from the brakes by the end of the day smile)

Would definitely be keen for another one of these, best track day I've been to I recon. Although it would be difficult to justify for just half a day if that is the way you go with it

Thanks, and thanks for your help with the breather plumbing. Wish my engine had been running like yours smile

I had some great laps by the end of the day. Then it was time to go home frown

Hello, folks smile

A quick post to say that we're meeting on Friday to discuss running a very similar trackday (or two) in 2015. When I know more I'll start a new thread. I had a brill' time on this year's event and met some great people, let's do it again!

Also, perhaps folks might like this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...smile
Excellent news thumbup

Please can you post a link to the new thread in here when it's open, I don't want to miss entry, it was such a good day last year smile
