I do like them too but I personally feel the 540k posted earlier is the finest of that period

Ones that spring to mind are
300SL Roadster
Miura
350 and 400GT Lamborghini
E type
Early 1960's 911
930 turbo
2.7RS
MK11 Jag
MK10 & 420G
Stuff designed with the use of clay models to get the aesthetics and proportions just right. Cars that you can look at from all angles and truly say to yourself there is nothing I could change that could make it look that bit better. So much thought went into it. In todays world of oversized headlamps and tail light lenses. Guess plastic is a lot cheaper to produce than metal.
I guess a lot of you guys already know that the doors of the Miura when open and viewed from above look like the horns of a bull. Pure brilliance. On the 350 and 400 GT the dials were all hand painted numbers in reverse.

Been racking my brain thinking about this one, going though all my favourite old dream cars.

Then just watched the latest 'tax the rich' video.
It really is such a good looking car in every way.

Racing certainly produces the best looking cars, the 250 GTO is stunning but for me, the Aston DB4 GT Zagato is perfect in every way, aesthetic perfection:-

Form over function, vice versa, or a combination of the two? If a tall person, try getting behind the wheel of a DB4 Zagato or a C-type. You need concertina legs, but the cars are great! No, as far as beauty is concerned, I've been to the Schlumpf and seen the Royales and found them, like Docker's Daimlers, ostentatious, the E-type wins every poll year by year, but the Figoni and Falaschi cars are sheer beauty. An Atalante for me I guess, but then even that is trumped by the 1938 Talbot Lago T150 SS, the "teardrop". So achingly beautiful.

There's nothing quite like a beautiful and devestatingly fast car. Run cars at meetings where this amazing looking and sounding T70 has been out. Nothing quite like it through Eau Rouge

250 GTO 250 SWB if you must pick a jumping donkey.

Personally I think the ford F3L or a T70 are a good bet, but I am biased toward racing cars.

Mine would be the 962 with the short(er) tail, as in :

or the AEG liveried Sauber :

for me function comes into it as well as form, and the Group C cars were what I grew up with, which always makes some difference.

I don't think I could pick one. Definitely with the Auburn and Cord pics posted on this thread. Both gorgeous cars. But likewise the Muira and 288 GTO also stunning.

But my personal favourite has always been the 365GTB4 'Daytona'. Can't beat those lines in my eyes.

(One for the mix though - XJS early ones? I always thought were stunning looking cars, really ageless).

For me, it's the Maserati Ghibli. Coupe, not Spyder, preferably in a dark metallic blue. Stunning.

Failing that, the Daytona and 288GTO also get a vote. As does the '63-'67 Corvette coupe. And the '70 Dodge Challenger / Plymouth Barracuda (don't expect many people to agree with me on that one!).
