Just posted a slightly oxidised one of these in another thread, but I'd go for a 1950's Sunbeam Alpine:

Nice looking cars but very colour sensitive.

Bristol Teardrop Special.
A modern interpretation of the Talbot-Lago "Teardrop" ("Goutte d'Eau") cars produced by Figoni et Falaschi in the 1930s.
Based on the chassis of a derelict 1959 Bristol 406.

Indeed although with the huge panel gaps and ridiculous wheels it looks like that one is a 1;18 model not a real car?
Yes, that's a model. The 2000GT has always been a big favourite of mine. Really, a beautiful hybrid between an E-Type and a 250GTO. Look carefully at the lines and you'll see where the designer's inspiration came from. Have a look at these two links for some interesting rebuild and new build work by STC in California.

They are fine looking cars, I believe their inspiration was also the Healey 3000 but that may be the engine. Shame the one restored on that web site wound up in a museum.

I hadn't seen a picture from that angle before, sorry but in my opinion that has no right to be in this thread.

Bil Thomas Cheetah, they look indeed like some toy cars biggrin
must be fun to pay with...super light and a strong engine

A more civilized car featuring some design cues from the Cheetah, the Vauxhall XVR of 1966!

Ignoring the mega-million price cars, I'd go for this.

Can't find my photo of an Invicta Low Chassis which would also be up there.

Leaving aside all this exotica, this has been the prettiest car I have personally afforded so far.

It's called the Gatto and was created by Steve Moal, it also featured on the Chasing Classic Cars program.

If you like that then you'll like the real thing, it's a Maserati ASGCS. There were several body variations including some Zagato versions. The Moal Gatto "homage" uses the side vents found on some A6G combined with the traditional Maserati round grill, oh and I've just noticed they couldn't resist adding the Zagato signature "double bubble" roof. The Moal is nice but doesn't quite achieve such graceful proportions as the Maser and let's face it, would you rather own a Moal or a Maserati! cloud9

Have to agree. Moal are superb craftsmen but the Maserati is better looking.
