What was the difference between a Vauxhall Magnum and a Firenza?
From the WikiThe Vauxhall Magnum is a car which was manufactured by Vauxhall from 1973 to 1978. First seen at the London Motor Show in October 1973,[1] the Magnum was an HC Viva with a larger engine, more luxurious interior, higher trim level and four rather than two headlights.
The Firenza is a model of car offered by Vauxhall from May 1971 until 1975. It was a development of the Viva, but had a distinctive coupé body style (fastback) and only two doors.

I'm sure you're right and he didn't expect rain. Just impressed he took it for a blast at all, let alone on the M25
(btw, I like your Mustang, uk66fastback, very nice)
Cheers Dino, built it, couldn't live with it, sold it. Simple!(btw, I like your Mustang, uk66fastback, very nice)

I saw this exact car on its way to St Saturnin (near LeMans for anyone who doesnt know) for the classic car show.It sounded like it had a v8 (I assume rover) fitted.
It was closely followed by another allegro in gulf colours
Edited to add
After seeing the other posts I would never have guessed it was a Corlegro, I wouldnt have said it sounded meaty enough for a corvette engine.

Yeah, yeah, good try.It was inside their workshop, with the boot open so wasn't sure what model.
I can't believe I just wrote that. That is weirdly nerdy.
Spotted yesterday in France; also saw a British registered Daimler Dart (primrose yellow) and E type (grey, looked like a V12 2+2), both near Nantes but driving so no photos.
And today, at Chaumont sur Loire (also driving so unfortunately no photos) what was presumably a French car club outing:
TR3
MGB x 2
Peugeot 404 convertible
911 Targa
