Ah yes the majestic car chases of that fine film 'Condorman' . Funnily I don't think I have ever seen that film shown as a repeat anywhere at any time, but like you I was mesmerised as a kid by the hoard of black 911's of that period being destroyed during the film. I still think Black is the best colour for a Porsche. Great memories, Thanks.Schmeeky said:
Was out for a drive today when I came upon this at the side of the road... (That's my lil' baby parked up behind it in the first photo)
Immaculate condition, and a beautiful colour too..
Both illegally parked (opposite the junction) and the Aston is obstructing a dropped kerb.Immaculate condition, and a beautiful colour too..
Did you require a Taxi to the pavement?
You're right about it being a lovely car by the way

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this one? Anyway this is for a most interesting old boy I met in Cornwall recently who would like to know what this car is. Turn of century and this was the first car in Truro apparently and belonged to the Bishop. Thanks in advance.
Looks like a 1906 Napier Type L to me ???captured this rover saloon today, not sure of its model name though

thanks roy c.
ive just ran a DVLA check and she comes back as made in 1936 with a 1303cc engine, so would this make it a P1, as P2 started in 37 (wikipedia) and as it has the smaller motor, be a 4 rather than the larger 1.5 engine which might be in the 6
im not saying it is, just from the info i have put together, thanks for your input so far

Yes, I think you are right. It's a late Rover P1 or as it would have been known at the time, "Rover 10" (denoting the RAC HP rating).ive just ran a DVLA check and she comes back as made in 1936 with a 1303cc engine, so would this make it a P1, as P2 started in 37 (wikipedia) and as it has the smaller motor, be a 4 rather than the larger 1.5 engine which might be in the 6
