Once upon a time, I supposed - what could possibly improve a work car-park, which doubles as a hobo fortress and contains as many discarded cardboard boxes and packets of silica gel as a Chinese preschool?
The answer, of course, lay in a vaguely yellow Reliant Rialto.

Not sure how 'cool' it is, but I spotted a Reliant Regal Mk III convertible being trailered down toward the South coast yesterday. I was on my way back from Eastbourne to Farnborough. In the same line of traffic on the opposite side of the road, in the snarl-up which was Cowfold, I think I also glimpsed a Citroën Ami (M35?) but can't be sure.

Also, a race prepared TR4a on a trailer in a layby on the way down in the morning. Possibly even this exact car...

Down at Beachy Head, was this Bedford CF ice cream van, along with a matching, but slightly younger ('B' plate) sibling...

And at the recent Bristol Balloon Fiesta I spotted this 1953 Morris ice cream van...

...although I suspect, judging by the boarded quarterlight and lack of windscreen wipers, that this one is a promotional 'prop' and trailered to events.

Triumph Spitfire daily driver seen in Ontario, Canada last week which I just had to get a pic of. Looked in really good condition considering it's almost 40 years old. I briefly spoke to the driver at the lights as I'd noticed the 4 exhausts (thinking 2.5 p.I. conversion) apparently not though, just the std 1500 4 cyl. Sounded nice as it pulled away:

That's an old Ford V8 badge, I think.

The indignity of it all.

Spotted a pale blue Vauxhall Velox/VX90 (not very up on Vauxhalls) in a filling station this morning, but also a red Lancia 037 on the A272 twixt Midhurst and Petworth, in traffic, so not fulfilling its potential. Would this be a real one - looked OK to me - or are there copies/replicas?

Spotted this at a little car show near me in deepest France today. I reckon this is cool and classic alright. My pal had one exactly like it (a 2000CS) about 20 years ago. The last I heard of it, he had it in a barn belonging to a bloke who rented out cars to the film trade, on the edge of Salisbury Plain. I bet 50\50 it's still there...

There was also this, which lives in a village about 2km from me and which makes me drool and remember my MB days every time it comes out in summer...

Yeah, they're nice, Maigrets, but you do see quite a lot of 'em in France...

What was at this little show was a very nice Renault 11 Turbo. Now there's a rarity. But I didn't put it on here cos I was a bit afraid of the flak I might get!

I suppose I could've put this in the rarities thread, but regardless; we don't have a thread for the obscure and soon to be extinct.

More interesting than a rubber bumpered MG atleast.
