COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!! Vol 2
Discussion
I was on a camping trip last week in the New Forest and there was some pushbike event going on which this Type 2 was attending.
This A.E.C. was in Poole, but the photo's a bit crap because I was on the ferry to Brownsea Island.
Another Type 2 in Sandbanks
Thursday saw us at the National Motor Museum, which was also being visited by a Mk. I Mexico...
...and yet another Type 2. They are everywhere.
There was also an M.G. TC at the N.M.M. but I didn't manage to get a photo.

Did Ford ever do a four door Mexico??
HHO 778N - aka: the Escort 'Mexico' above, is actually a 1975 Ford Escort 1300 XL.It was spotted at Beaulieu in 2012 too... https://www.flickr.com/photos/kevsclassiccars/6727... ...although it was wearing slightly 'sportier' wheels back then

Spotted a Gilbern Invader in Woburn this afternoon - must be a very rare thing!
Also something I haven't seen in years - a Triumph Acclaim + it was being used as a daily driver I think!

I'll bet a fiver that Southdown 'AEC' is actually a Leyland. Southdown used little else. Bodywork by Harrington (Cavalier I think), a firm that was on Southdown's patch - Harrington also bodied the now desirable Sunbeam Alpine Le Mans coupe.
Two online sources concur, Mikey. 1964 Leyland, according to DVLA and at least one other. Although I have to admit I couldn't tell by looking at it.yellowjack said:
