The first car I ended up upside down in - in that same colour aswell ! Mate was driving ,round a sharp hairpin to be met by a guy in a Ford Fiesta on our side of the road attempting to overtake a lorry ! Banked kerb, once we clipped it to avoid a head on, the car flipped ! I had to break the passenger window to get out as the door was jammed, mate was stuck in the car until we dragged him out. Off to hospital and I ended up in a neck brace. The following day I flew to Gran Canaria for my first ever holiday abroad with a girlfriend , took the neck brace off after 3-4 days as the tan line was looking silly smile

Anyway , loved the look of my mates Fuego back then , we were the same age - I was dead jealous. He hated the thing , mind you he did ok, Fuego was replaced with a white Ford Escort RS Turbo.

Allard? in Lincolnshire today. Looked a bit like a J2 with a longer grille and separate rear guards as pictured. Reg. no was something like C _ _ 935.
Was following a 993 cab

Having disgraced myself on here by excitedly posting a 1.6 Capri with 2.8i wheels...

paperbag

...I'm fairly sure this is real; Recaros, odd door mirrors, the whole deal.

It has to be said, it was a bit rusty in places.

Driving home from a car show today, I saw a Morgan, and M.G.B GT and a Volkswagen Type 2, but by far the most exciting thing was the very car you see below.

My dad had a Rebel when I was about 3 or 4 years old. It was the first of his cars I remember clearly. White, it was, with a 'Swansea City' sticker in the back window. Then he moved on to a Cortina Mk1, the first of a long line of Ford estate cars that ended with one of the last 'proper' Granadas.

In the depths of rural France yesterday I got involved in a convoy of 'classic' cars and, to my surprise, behind me was a TR7. A left-hooker, too. I can't remember the last time I saw one moving. My pal had a new one in the late '70s and it nearly put him (and his bank manager) off motoring for life. Sorry, no pic.

Spotted a beautiful dark blue Aston Martin DB2 heading north on the A177, Durham Road from Stockton on Tees this morning. Brightened up the commute nicely.
