Thanks for pointing that out and no, I never noticed the letters!Shame the owner painted it the wrong colour.
Having done some research, I get the impression that some naval vehicles of the Second World War were painted just as army vehicles but with the small 'RN' markings.

My comment about the colour was regarding that particular shade of green.

But how bad is it? From that picture it simply looks scruffy, the rear cross member looks solid and the bulkhead looks just about okay, I think? Did you have a good look at the chassis? ClassicMotorNut said:
I like that, a LOT!I know of a kid who's Dad bought him a V8 Moggy sleeper for his 18th birthday from a custom car showroom in Hayes High Street (long since closed). It was matt black, extremely low, 135 tyres/wheels on the front with 235's on the back, sidepipes and a very low stance - looked the dogs danglies. Funniest thing was his dad bought it for him, taxed it and insured it but refused to pay for fuel - so it did about 5 miles a week as even back in the '80's £5 in a Rover V8 didn't go far!!

Blimey, that's triggered the old memory cells!! That place must have closed in the mid 80's at least, as it must have gone around the time the Hayes By-Pass was opened, if not probably before that. I don't think I've been in that part of Hayes High St since the by-pass was opened!!tickious said:
