I know this is two wheels but I got excited when I spotted it in a side street in Limoges yesterday. There was a BMW R75 beside it, but who cares?
The owner was using a 1960s-style 'pudding basin' crash helmet as well. Very cafe racer.
That Triton is FAB

I've walked past this V-Dub's house many times, but decided to photograph it yesterday when I noticed it was for sale and might not be there much longer. Sometimes on the same driveway is a metallic blue/green/flip-flop VW Beach Buggy.

Walking a bit further, I found a rarity in the form of a Type 2 pick-up which, although also local, I'd never seen before.

Blimey that is a blast from the past. I had a bright blue one in '87-'89 and I probably haven't seen more than half a dozen since.

Maybe not cool, but somebody loves it.
Fantastic - even better for being the 1.6!
A "Rover " one but list as Austin....
"1987: The Austin marque is shelved, with the Metro, Maestro and Montego ranges now selling under just their model names. The Rover badge is not used on these cars in the UK market."

Wow, haven't seen one of those for over a decade. Used to hanker after one when tooling around in my first car ('78 R5GTL)

Apolgies for no photo but on the Finchley Road in reasonably heavy traffic yesterday I saw this very car!

Sounded utterly mental at 20mph! Lord knows what a Le Mans D Type was doing on the Finchley Road. The bloke driving it looked remarkably like the chap that owns the ex Stirling Moss 250 SWB and lives very close by.

Wow! Genuine long nose 1956 factory car sold in 1957 to Ecurie Ecosse.

Driving on the Finchley Road - love it smile

Spotted this in Llangollen yesterday, but in the foreground is a Lotus Carlton, ultra rare but window reflection meant I couldn't get a pic of it frown Can see the nose anyway!

thumbup Thanks for that! I've had it over 25 years now (with one small 10 year gap...!) I probably had 3 or 4 when a were but a lad, with many, many happy memories of them. It is one of just 4 taxed and 11 Sorn'd cars left, so it's no wonder that most people won't have seen one for a while now. It is one of the very last atmo cars before the introduction of the Gordini Turbo. I thought I would give it a run down to Silverstone yesterday as it was a nice day. I shall now be spending next weekend replacing the exhaust I managed to blow on the way home! Renault ownership 30 odd years ago was ever thus. But then perhaps I shouldn't have been giving it such a hard time.

Bit of a Sweeney style gathering in Colet Gardens, Hammersmith last Sunday - can't seem to post pics in this thread so I've used my flickr pages instead...

Gutted I didn't grab a pic! Only noticed it when I heard it pulling away.

Also had an elise and caterham 7 in the garage. Lucky lucky man!
