No idea what this is but it was scampering through the leafy Sussex lanes last week at a surprising pace smile

Austin 7 special, not an Ulster. Ulster's have pointy tails.

If you crop out the bumper of the modern on the right-hand side, you'll have one of the coolest photographs on this thread.

1956 Chevrolet Panel Van, 3,850cc of tax exempt loveliness. That one looks like the very same van that was on the cricket pitch display at the Goodwood FoS in 2013...

I recently visited the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield.

This...

...1970 3.5 litre Rover P5B Coupe was in the car park and looking generally fabulous. First registered the day before I was born.

Spotted a while back now, but not posted at the time...

...in the car park at Clandon Park (National Trust) as we left at the end of the day. Good opportunity to grab a picture with very little modern clutter in the background. Loving the "engine being run in, please pass" sign in the rear window too. I can't remember when I last saw one of those.

BMW 700.
Can anybody ID the man driving?
He's famous for his time in F1, but not as a driver.

This pic'n'mix LandRover can't seem to make up it's mind which Series it wants to be, nor what colour it wants to end up...

...1968 Series IIA out of the factory, but more modern (Series III?)wings added. Registered as a 2,500cc diesel too {engine introduced in the Defender in 1984 (NA) or 1986 (TD)}, but still taking advantage of age exemption from VED. Still. At least it's off road eh?

(Or is it one for the Bad Parking thread?)

Was there something special under the bonnet? Pipes seem bigger bore than normal and the rear tyres and rims look wide.

Cool? Classic? Car?

Well, I liked it, and as it's now the middle of the night, no-one will notice!

What a lovely car.

When I was involved with the AMOC the President was the Viscount Downe who had a seat in the House of Lords and owned great swathes of Yorkshire. He advised keeping ones love of desirable cars away from business and so instead of arriving at meetings in an Aston always used a Rover. He believed a Rover made no statement beyond good judgement and reliability. I presume this sound advice ended around the time of the SD1.
