Can't remember the last time I saw one of these in the flesh.
Taxed and on the road but being used for storage.
Nice. Except for the silly-small period wheels.Taxed and on the road but being used for storage.
1969 Bond Equipe 2.0 litre.
According to 'How Many Left' there are only 6 of the 2 litre cars left registered. Four '69 cars licensed and one SORN, with one '70 car licensed.

Driving up the A1 last week I saw this old Inca Yellow MGB GT hurtling along in front doing 70+ ...
Managed to catch up with it at the Black Cat roundabout and then spotted his nearside front wing ... !
It had certainly has a recent full length sill - that I could tell from looking through the hole ...
Strange ...

Do they have to be spotted in the wild..?
I don't think so. I had the I Spy Classic Cars book which featured such cars as a De Dion Bouton Model Q. Where are you going to find one of those outside of Beaulieu or V.C.C. events? I seem to recall that the photo supplied was of the National Motor Museum car.yellowjack said:

I think the section on engines in "How Many Left" gives a total of 23 taxed and 20 sorned engines over 1900cc ie 6cylinder Equipe, the rest being the 4 cylinder Equipe 47 taxed and 37 sorned for a grand total of 127 cars. there must also be cars off the road before the sorn regs came in.
I have run mine since 1981 and enjoyed driving and restoring it , after all its a Triumph Vitesse .

This was at Tesco in Milton Keynes last week - a '96 model that looked pristine!
When I first worked in Rugby I stayed at a B&B in the Warwickshire sticks and the guy next door had a newish 164 Cloverleaf. We left at the same time in the morning to blast into Rugby; me in my V12 XJS, him in the Alfa. In a drag race, I think the Jag could have given good account of itself. On a blast through the lanes it was nowhere.
"The Alfa pissed all over the Jag," would be too strong, but it out-classed the Jag in so many ways I gave up trying.

My boy has to find a Caparo - fat chance..
I suggest one of his best chances would be Goodwood Supercar Sunday, they've had some rare tackle over the yearsGompo said:
I saw one at Nailcote Hall Golf Club in August, it was on display though, while a competition was on. Do they have to be spotted in the wild..?
Goodwood - 10 hours away, thanks for the idea though."Do they have to be spotted in the wild..?" Maybe..
Perhaps we can cheat & set fire to one of his Mr Potato characters, would that count? ☺☺
