According to the DVLA it's registered as a Vanden Plas with a date of first registration being June 1987.

Not sure whether this should be on this thread or classics left to die rotting! Seen at a rally I was competing in over the weekend, at first I thought it was some sort of advertising thing for a junk shop, till a young couple got in it and drove off! The interior was lined with wall paper and pages from old magazines and it ran as bad as it looks, but off they toddled. And yes, all that tat you see on the roof including pot plants and a plastic doll in a pram, are all part of its' somewhat unorthodox image.
No picture, as I was knackered toward the end of a 68 mile bike ride, but I was overtaken today by a Ferret!
Somewhere between Normandy and Pirbright I was aware of what I thought was a van behind me, taking it's sweet time about getting past me. Then I wondered what the whining noise was. All was revealed when a sandy-coloured Ferret Scout Car passed me. Civilian registration, along with what appeared to be trade plates (176 PH - appropriate to a PH-worthy spot, no?)
Something a bit like this...
