One of only 3 in the world and the only one in this spec, turned up to our motorclub meeting last night
Years ago I had the good fortune to have a ride in a chain-gang Frazer Nash. That is, chain drive with no diff. The driver was, shall we say, enthusiastic. The lack of diff mean revolutions on the inside wheel in corners have to be lost in wheelspin and his method was to attack corners with gusto to try and lift the inner rear wheel. Progress was of the 'driving round the edge of a fifty pence piece' variety. Mrs C graciously accepted a lift too, but subsequently said she never wanted to go out in anything remotely similar ever again.

When I get around to it, I intend to research the family tree of the motor car. Frazer Nash will feature prominently. Archie Frazer Nash's business in Isleworth was propped up by and then bought out by the Aldington Brothers who, at one time, were also invited to provide financial assistance to neighbours Aston Martin in Feltham. The brothers Aldington went on to be Porsche dealers and AFN - as Archie Frazer Nash's company became - still trade from Isleworth.

Ah, I was reminded of a ride in a chain drive Frazer Nash but don't know for sure that this is one. Sorry, should have made that clear.

It's a Frazer Nash Nurburg, of which there are only three. This is the only one that wasn't supercharged when first made. It's heading down to the Frazer Nash 90th celebrations this weekend.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what this lovely looking machine is? Spotted on the M6 toll this afternoon. I feel like I should know already!

It's a beautiful car. One was a guest at the TR Register weekend at Harrogate in 2011 - there is a link with TRs that I can't remember at the moment. No doubt Google will give details.

Thanks for the replies chaps, though it is identical to a Morgan in the photos there is a sticker in the back window saying 'INABM it's not a bloody Morgan' haha so possibly a kit replica or something? Such a great looking machine though, a blend of all the great early 60s designs in there.

Some of the Isdera Imperator 108i recently discussed. What a wonderful car!

Full set here: Facebook link.

Video of slow movement but excellent sound here: Facebook link 2

Check out the pedal offset! I bet there aren't many high mileage examples due to back pain. hehe

Looks great in black. 1964 E Type following a 2 ½ year restoration. The car was a wreck when he bought it off E Bay and was in California.

I saw this car at Snetterton this year. It really is beautiful. DVLA confirms as Triumph

I seem to think some had Lea Francis engines in them. Meadows rings a bell.

It's a recreation of the Triumph SLR racer from the early sixties - see here: http://www.rhclassics.co.uk/restoration/current-pr...

I saw this at a recent evening meeting at the Wharf outside Market Drayton, and we spent some time standing about wondering what it was, seeing a TR connection only because of the various stickers on it. As we walked away, we noticed the massive banner right next to it showing what that link above shows.

It's no recreation - It is the one and only Triumph TR4 SLR (Sprinzel LawrenceTune Racing) See Here

My mate campaigns it for the owner.

Ah, my apologies. I found that RH page, read that they were making a recreation, and jumped to conclusions.
