COOL CLASSIC CAR SPOTTERS POST!!! Vol 2
Discussion
Saw lots of nice cars in London this weekend and will post photos later, but a couple I didn't manage to photo:
Aston Martin DB2 Convertible in traffic in Islington today. Ideal city car!
BRG Jaguar E Type Roadster making a lovely noise blasting along Knightsbridge.
Also saw a minty mint Delta EVO in Whitechapel. Must be the weather bringing them out!

A mix of spots from London this past weekend.
In the spirit of the thread, I went to look at the Rolls and realised the Phaeton is a very rare 6.0 W12 version. Never seen one before!
A subtle Capri on a Peckham back street.
A gorgeous 280SL Auto casually parked in South Kensington.
A very bold hue on this Russian motor behind Harrods. Not sure what it is though!
Stunning Merc 280SE near Harrods. The photo does it no justice at all.
Another beauty, parked near a Ferrari FF in a similar colour. Distant relatives perhaps?
Very elegant old Bentley, again with a terrible photo!
This looked to be in regular use.
Not sure if this pair were gently rotting or just looking worse for wear. My friend who lives nearby says there is a revolving door of different classics parked on the local streets. Something to do with a used car dealer nearby apparently.

That Phaeton is roughly 100 times rarer than the Rolls in the UK, so it's a great spot...the W12 didn't exactly race out of the showrooms!
It was a brilliant car though. I drove one around a race track in Germany on the dealer launch and with air suspension it did things no 2 tonne saloon had any right to do, including achieving an easy (limited) 155 within the confines of the main straight which was very long. The only other cars on the track were also W12 Phaetons - a surreal experience!
I think massive complexity will mean even fewer survive the next ten years and the next time you see one will be on the 'cars time forgot' thread!!
Meanwhile, back on topic, I think Shadows are ageing really well.
