I say this with affection, being a Stag owner too!

I wish I'd never seen the appeal of them either (back in the day) - I had one that cost me a small fortune ...

I assume then that because you are under 50, there must be lots of classics that you don't see the appeal of?

It's is not too late to educate yourself.

I drive past this Scimitar a couple of times each week and I don't recall seeing it move much, if at all, over the last few months so I'm not sure if it should be on this thread or the other one about classics rotting away.

Anyway, it is in between Nantwich and Newcastle under Lyme.

(I happen to think Scimitars look really cool even now)

Being a 1990, I guess it's a Middlebridge Scimitar.

That's cos you've only ever known rebuilt ones! hehe

It was the originals we all had to have back then that were the problem!

It is original.... had one owner from 1978 through to three years ago when I bought it.

I had the engine rebuilt last year, +40 bore, new pistons, the works... so she's still got her original engine too smile

Good stuff ... But I bet the owner had sorted the cooling system out good and proper over the years ... As he should have done, the ways to keep a Stag free of cooling problems and therefore hgf are well documented now ...

Mine was original when I had it, but 30 years ago ... When they were mostly a bag o' ste biggrin

Cooling system is very good... runs the original radiator and viscous fan. Only time it's ever got too hot for my liking was Easter Sunday a few years ago, sat in a queue for 90 minutes to get into wheels day. I bottled it, spun round and got some air up her.

Saw what I first thought was a C type, from behind on the A3 earlier.

When I saw the front at Cobham ,think it's an Aston.

Reg is 210 MRA,light metallic green.

The reg number belongs to an Aston... first registered in 1958, so could be a DB MkIII

No, but consecutives chassis numbers.

210MRA is chassis DB3S/10, the last team car

CSK200 is chassis DB3S/11 built as the final team car, but never used by them

(customer chassis start with DB3S/101)

About 30 DB3S cars were built, the last one in 1956. So if this car was first registered in 1958, it's possibly a replica built on the chassis of a road car. There's experts on these pages who'll know all the ins and outs - best wait for them to make an appearance.
