Dicky, I wonder whether the big Jag lives outside or is usually in that garage? If it isn't under cover, it begs the question, what is in there?!
Good point. Now I know what's down there I'll drive by every so often and see if anyone wants to chat. Plus, as I was there during normal work hours, there may be more interesting vehicles to be seen in the evening and at weekends.Local man suspected of stalking older cars.
Photos are a bit ropey, but I was clearing some clutter off a memory card and turned these up...
I know....!
Just look at the offset on that bumper! Spotted at Polesden Lacey (NT house) during their themed period Christmas opening.
Best I could do with the available light. Sat on a gravel driveway outside a house in rural Hampshire.
Best shot I could get in the brief time I had to drag the camera out and point'n'shoot. Driven rather enthusiastically, but not irresponsibly, toward me in Arborfield. VOD 42K - A lovely little Alfa Romeo 1750, sounded great!

We had one back in about 1990. E-reg I think, in Grandad burgundy. It was actually all right, wooden dash etc. My most vivid memory was of me yanking on the hand-brake on the way home after a winter country pub crawl. Sure enough we ended up in the ditch.Sat next to me in the front, my brother was not at all amused... he was actually driving at the time!
Anyway a passing farmer dragged us out and we got home without further incident. The only damage was a detached front number plate. I soon had that back on before our parents got up the next morning, so they never did find out about that little excursion.

It was Christmas Eve. Could have put a dampener on festivities. Sat next to me in the front, my brother was not at all amused... he was actually driving at the time!

Not a bad snotter - didn't it have a weird ufo style interior light?

I must now live in the worst area of the country for classics. I can't remember the last time I saw anything older than 15 years...
Could it be that you're not tuned into them? There's a possibly I live in an unusually classic-rich area where the well-to-do have older cars as hobbies and on the other side of the tracks they are used out of necessity.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
