When I was about 10yo our neighbour - the house opposite - had a delivery at teatime on a trailer covered by a tarp. Over that night a couple of blokes assembled a Europa in their garage, and at breakfast they had a newly registered metallic blue Europa. With gold pinstriping.

I knew nothing about the oily bits, just that it went some, made a fruity noise, and had ELECTRIC windows!! This was 1973.

Look carefully and you'll see the driver sitting inside - I hadn't noticed him as I stopped my car to take a photo, he must have wondered what is this lunatic doing?

I was really taken by this Bentley that was parked at a hotel near Stoke today.

It was rusty and crusty around the edges and needed a damn good clean, but it had a wonderful patina. There were stickers in the back window for Le Mans. A lovely old thing.
