The mobile cinema is very cool. The mobile library, less so. [URL=http://s14.photobucket.com/user/RicksAlfas/media/CBB3FAC7-1A7E-480B-8D57-69335F305C6D_zps9tz396o6.jpg.html]

Actually I can't remember if it was Corley or Northampton services now. It was on the way to Santa Pod last weekend. More here:

I was reading a 1968 copy of Motor Sport the other day and there was a debate raging in old car circles over what could be regarded as 'classic'. There was a strong feeling that an Austin 7 would never be a classic. Plus ca change...
Let's all stop wasting energy and space on this pointless debate and just enjoy anything out of the ordinary.

Was chatting with a mate at work a few days ago and he mentioned he's thinking about selling his Droopsnoot, he's had it since 1989 but it hasn't seen daylight for the last eighteen years and is pretty much in factory condition. He's had a few 'bites' from interested parties but can't make his mind up about what he should do.
We do get the odd "wanted" advert on the Droopsnoot Group forum from time to time, they don't change hands that often. Now I'm wondering which one it is, of course.GOG440 said:
I saw something I havent seen in many years tonight.
A dark blue mk1 transit on a k plate travelling on the m62 towards Huddersfiled, and if my ford beard is working properly it was one of the Perkins Diesel engined ones too as it had the extended grill
Can't remember exactly now, but didn't the York engine have the longer nose? Not sure of the Perkins one, apart from the fact that it was a 4.108 and pretty underpowered even at the time, though it would start without "sniff" which the York never did.A dark blue mk1 transit on a k plate travelling on the m62 towards Huddersfiled, and if my ford beard is working properly it was one of the Perkins Diesel engined ones too as it had the extended grill

The coolest estate car ever made - even better than the Lancia HPE I once had. Some years ago I was leafing through the Classic & Sportscar that had arrived late (as usual) here in deepest France and I found an Eventer advertised by a firm in Nottingham. I literally ran to the phone, but it was already sold. Couldn't afford it now...https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/21844/lot/308/
A Lynx Eventer is a rare car, but a Gucci Lynx Eventer is even rarer.
