The Espada love continues:

A friend has recently acquired this rare 1970 series 1.5. Mostly original with a light resto.
Saw this very Espada in the rain in Leeds on Saturday. I've been a car bore for over 30 years and never seen an Espada on the road or outside of a car show and I was so amazed to see it drive past I dropped my wallet. If the owner reads this I was the guy shrieking like a 12 year old and pointing at you, apologies.

IIRC the Dellow chassis was made from parts from war surplus rockets.
Dellow register would make you right: " the chassis was made from surplus rocket bodies from the UP3 and RP3 rockets developed in WW2. This explains why there is a join in the main chassis strakes and odd holes in the tubes. The rocket bodies were 55″ long and the holes are where the stabilising fins were bolted on."

Dunno about cool, and one could argue about classic, but during a recent visit to the UK I spotted this in the street in Burnham-on-Sea. Can't remember the last time I saw one (or wanted to, really)...

Suddenly a Dellow seems the most desireable car in the world.

How is that any less cool or classic than another bloody Morris Minor?

I dunno, it didn't float my boat then or now is all. While in Somerset a friend showed me his mint original 25k mile Austin A40 - now that really was nice.
And I was given an exhilarating/hair raising ride in this - which is way beyond cool...

Yes. Yes it is..

No idea where I got AX from..

:weeps while car spotting credentials go down the swanny:
They did a cute 3 door version of The Visa that we never got, called The Axel.
That may explain the confusion.

Thank you very much. I was sure it was Italian from its similarity to the Espada.
