Spotted this whilst on holiday in Sauveterre de Rouergue in SW France.

On a "K" plate but looks like a post '81 facelift....
I'm also not sure the 280 was available in 1972/73.
The MOT website states that the registration number is on a white 1972 350SL with a rather interesting mileage history....

Date of first reg 30 August 2000 (so an import) and colour lists as.... White

Are those the correct wheels and tyres? They look tiny.

Really?

Surely (technically), this was a hot hatch that pre-dates the Simca? wink :

That's a fixed head coupé.

The Renault 16 predates that Simca in any case.

But was the Renault 16 ever available in a "Hot" version?

Cheating a bit I know, as it was a charity car run, but some lovely and quite rare classics.

Any idea what this is? Mk III Zodiac looking grill (but bigger), door handles possible Taunus, but my initial thoughts were some Eastern European/Russian (Tatra but too modern looking?) type thing. I tried searching but my Google skills let me down, the best it came up with was that it's probably a car. frown

I can'get into my Photobucket account to upload today, but I claim today's banana. A bootiful Ferrari Daytona parked in the supermarket car park. Metallic grey, rally stickers, dirt-encrusted, and just gorgeous. As and when I can I'll post the photos.
