Following up on this morning's rather benign post, here are a few from this afternoon. Just another boring day in France.

The middle one looks slightly odd without the bits of trim on the headlights and nose.

More likely an M535i as the bodykit wasn't standard on the M5.
Great looking car though.
I'd agree more likely an M535i that has had the TRX Metric Rims replaced with BBS X-Spokes.

M5's had Black (Decrome / Shadowline) window surround mouldings.

That particular car is 1931. I will put up more photos in a minute; I also have seen three E-types and two Ferraris elsewhere. Just a normal day in the countryside whistle
Depends which French countryside you live in, I guess.
There's a bloke in the next village here who still drives a Citroen Ami 8...

Having posted photos a while back of a local lady's shopping trolley, a Daytona, parked at the supermarket I saw the lady last week out in her Ferrari 512 BB. Today I visited another local place to see this little gem

I sat in it, was allowed to start it and the howl of the supercharger, the sound of the exhaust and all the ancillary sounds put me on cloud 10, because 9 wasn't enough. She is truly magnificent, and the value must be approaching eight figures now I guess. But I am assured though that she is not taken to the local supermarket.
Is that Alain DeCadenet's example?

There are loads of great shots of De Cad slumming it across Europe in his Alfa:

Having bored yu with a Daytona and an 8C Alfa, I got a call to help out some French people who need some parts. Here is what I found when I arrived:-

I have never seen 58mm Webers before, and certainly not on a Chevy V8 engine! Apparently they cost, with the manifolds, not far off $50,000.

An XK150 roadster, which hasn't moved for some years:-

A breathed-on Tiger Mk1, 100% rebuild

A Chevron and Lola together

Stored bodywork

Lola T70 1966 being rebuilt

Group C porn

I'll see your 104 and raise you with a most delightful and beautifully restored Peugeot 404 pickup in battleship grey! See it often, but never had time to take a picture. My finds are really due to being fairly well known because I speak fluent french and am a classic owner. Imagine my astonishment this morning when I went to this workshop. One person asked where I lived and he knows someone who lives about 200 yds from me in the road behind. Turns out he not only built my house but sold it to the previous owner Jean-Daniel Raulet who raced the 905 Peugeot in the day. And he who built the house was the owner of the Venturi company! Truly, the world is a small place.

At the garage who did my daily driver's MOT this morning, I was delighted to see in the small showroom this beauty. Amongst all the modern cars outside, this was a very pleasant surprise.

In the late 1970s a Classic Jag specialist in Peterborough, Oldham and Crowther, (which is now the Radical cars factory) raced an XK120 (WPU 207) which was fitted with triples Weber 50 DCOs on an in-house fabricated inlet manifold. Previously the car was fitted with triple 48 DCOEs/48 DCOs. Even then they were quite a rare car and I'm not sure if they were new or secondhand, possibly more likely the latter (I believe it was Martin Crowther - one of the partners, who sourced them)

1934 Lagonda 16/80.
It looks like a T2 (cycle wing) body rather than the more elegant T7.
