On M62 westbound between junctions 8 and 7 today. Looked in very good condition and not hanging about either.
Failed when first presented for it's February 2011 Mot for "Reason(s) for failure: Nearside Stop lamp not working (1.2.1b) Offside Stop lamp not working (1.2.1b)" so brake lights out. A couple of advisories for "Nearside Steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel (2.2.A.1b) Rear Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)" but advisories didn't appear on the pass certificate issued a week later on the same mileage. On 7th April 2016 it passed with a recorded mileage of 66,357 miles. Pretty low for a 36 year-old car, unless it's gone 'around the clock' like some older cars can with a five-digit odometer? It's only done 4,246 miles in the last 6 years though. So it certainly appears to be a well maintained "high days and holidays" car.

Passed it's last six MOTs with only one advisory - "Nearside Front Track rod end ball joint dust cover damaged, but preventing the ingress of dirt (2.2.C.1c)" (February 2012).

All the more surprising to see it out on wet salty roads. Not so cold today but the gritters had been out doing their worst over the weekend around the Warrington area. At a car park near Stoke this afternoon.
I've not seen this colour on a XJS before, but even covered in road grime it looked so lovely.
I'd love an XJS but they are too big for my standard single garage.
Looks like it had it's MOT today - and failed!
Shame it looks so nice and with only 41,000 miles, but looks can be deceiving as rust appears to be an ongoing problem at MOT time.
Yeh that is rare .It is Rose Bronze.I've not seen this colour on a XJS before, but even covered in road grime it looked so lovely.

No Bluetooth = it must be crapWhat a delightful machine.
I think it might be the Ghia version - - - wooden dashboard.
Not seen one of these since the one I was in that a mate wrote off many years ago!

Look at the clean frontal lines of that Triumph with that monstrosity behind it ... ! Surely the drag co. of the Puke must be worse?
The drag co of the Puke will be much better because although ugly as fk and all bulbous and revolting, it's actually all very smooth.Iva Barchetta said:

I saw this in the car park at Hull Uni, then someone came out, cranked it over, climbed aboard and puttered off.
