Saw a yellow Reliant Kitten this morning between Littlebury & Great Chesterford, looked pretty cool to be honest and can't remember the last time I saw one. smile

Did it look 'modified' in any way? There's one that has run at Santa Pod, lifts a wheel off the line and everything!

My dad had a Rebel when I was very young. First car I actually remember being in.

Love that Citroen, very classy motor for that location too!
I saw a 1928 Bentley in traffic heading through Harrogate earlier in the week, sadly no photo.

On the Queen's State Visit to Paris in 1972 with President George Pompidou.

That's a rare beast, I'd wager.

So the one in Antibes is for sale (a vendre). At what price, I wonder?
There's an artist round here who specialises in painting portraits of SMs - he has an exhibition on at local classic car dealer's at the moment.

I've always loved Citroen SMs. Always remember one racing at the Spa 24 hrs, driven by Francois Migault and Howden Ganley. Their pit was the last one at the bottom of the hill, by Eau Rouge. This was the marker point or prompt for the driver to sling it sideways into the first part of Eau Rouge to be lined up properly for the second part. However, being a 24 hour race, they had to use their headlights and according to the car's specification, the headlights were linked to the direction the front wheels were pointing. That was clearly not ideal when they were actually pointing at the run-offs/barriers at the side of the track while the car was heading in a different direction. Steering to headlight connection was consequently disconnected. If anyone's interested, I have one friend who probably has one for sale in Italy, and another who is seeking to restore one in Marseilles, but who might be seperated from it for the right money! Very tempted myself...

It's like a concept car that they decided to leave exactly as designed and actually put into production!

Even today, it still looks quite futuristic!

I don't know if it's still there but in the museum at Le Mans there was a DS with the underside and wheel arches all smoothed over displayed vertically and rotating as object d'art.

It was quite something.
