Apologies for the thread resurrection but I just can't get this Minilite obsession out of my head. Just bought a set of 6x13's now and to me , it's the perfect wheel for a Sunbeam.

Wow great thread resurrection

Since my earlier posts the Ratsun did get superseded by another and I did indeed fit them to my 67 Mustang.

But tbh my choice has t gone down overly well with lots of people but I like them. Give the mustang a tougher look.

I'm delighted to see this thread back, thanks 2172cc. I still think they're one of the best looking and versatile wheels. We can't all be wrong, can we?

Good man.......thumbup

Are they the alloy version they make, or did you bite the bullet and do it properly and buy a set of proper magnesium ones?

Unfortunately not the mag ones but brand new alloy wheels made to my spec of offset and center bore. Still have the 7x15's as well but the car drives so much better with the smaller wheels.

In the early 80s, Minilite alloys were the stuff of legend amongst myself and my Capri, fast Escort etc owning pals. But very few could afford them, inc myself for my 3000GT.
The first 3 Litre Broadspeed Bullit had them fitted, 6x13s.

I thought exactly the same too, it looks too short. Perhaps the camera distorted it. I had a similar DB6 drop head in white many years ago. I didn't like it, slow and heavy. It sounded good though.
A white DB6 drop head was a scarce car, your one wasn't the one driven by Michael Crawford in the 1969 film where he plays a top end car dealer was it ?

Mustang looks good, and can't think why people wouldn't like them on the Mustang, as they were being used by a lot of the Trans Am teams on their Mustang race cars back in the day? (although admittedly not until the 69/70 versions)
