Love them wide

Haaaaang on... Imposter surely?

They have to be Watanabe R-Types?

Must admit I as coming on to troll with some myself.
No...They're definitely Minilites and I've just ordered another set for another Z.

Will also put them on my 67 FB Mustang

Probably the most imitated of all wheel designs, but there is only one ‘Genuine Minilite’
'Minilite' were certainly not the first to come up wih an 8-spoke alloy wheel design though.

Who was first? Brabham or BRM might be in with a shout...

You can put minilites on virtually any 60's and 70's car in my humble opinion.

No fan of Triumphs, then?

That GT6 looks great on those wheels.

Alright, I'll let you off! smile

That Z is looking great by the way. If it were mine, I'd run as is, with perfect mechanicals. Looks so mean.

IMO the TR6 looks crap on minilites - for some reason they just don't suit the car. TR4-5s though look great with them.

My first car, Mk2 Capri on minilite copies

AFAIK Minilite "borrowed" the design from someone else anyway

With pleasure...half way through dropping in 4.0 V8 + R380 'box + Hoyle Suspension + twin stainless exhaust and a whole host of other interesting goodies. Have split the project into two phases 1. all mechanicals and electrics, 2. revise the interior next winter. Bodywork will be standard Sebring front and rear + MGC bonnet for a little extra room as will be running modified EFi. Note from your profile you too have a V8...which of course only proceeds at 55mpg wink

More project info' can be seen here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
