Please add me to the club rosta smile
I'd love to spot another on the road allowing me to enjoy the countryside..
I have a friend with a '74 Midget I'm sure I could recruit him too.

Count me in, would love a sticker for the TVR when it eventually gets put back together again.

Sounds like the sort of club I like. smile

I'VE JUST HAD A idea ,
and I think it's a good one! With the demise of the tax/RFL/General tax to fund other things instead of roads tax disc, how about using you disc holder to house your FFC membership sticker?? It wont have to be an actual sticker then, just a print out. So down-loadable at home saving ££'s and sadly not contributing to V8250 project car!! tongue outwinkbiggrin

When you say the stickers will be £££, do you mean more like £ or ££, surely no sticker in the world could be £££, could it? Not that I'm tight or anything, just poor. I drive a 40 year old car ffs! Or should that be ffc?
They sell for £2-£3 so would hope they will complete a sticker run for us at similar price. I agree that anything over that price would be a bit silly...and frankly, I'd look elsewhere if their quote was beyond this price. Realistically it's got to be lower than this as there's the cost of postage to each of our homes too.

Ref' FFS or FFC? Try this for size smile

I personally prefer the original design.

Price can't be too high - it'll be worth more than the car!

Hi Tony, that's a cracking idea. As above you can see I've slightly amended the AWC logo and could use these in the tax discs holders.

I'd prefer it without the swear word. Doesn't bother me personally but SWMBo wouldn't be impressed and for those with little ones...

Still like the sentiment Fast as fk but maybe printed as Fast as F... so it could be interpreted as Fast as Fury IYSWIM.

I also prefer the earlier design.

I prefer the previous design too but to make it enigmatic, I'd leave off 'MPH' so it's just the '55 Club' and limit it to 55 members to make it exclusive.

Surely just FFC covers just about everything you want to interpret it as, rude or not! biggrin

I either drive slower than 55mph or faster than 55mph and (I can guarantee this) I do travel at exactly 55mph twice for each time I manage to go faster than 55mph.

I have an old car too so please can I join you all?

I promise not to tell anyone about the club or reveal (even under the worst possible interrogation) where we keep our secret stash of unobtanium car parts, including those performance tuning parts that allow us to go faster and slower than 55 mph.

Edited for typos

Original design and FFC for me. Lots of folks will be putting those imitation tax discs in from the original date their car was first taxed - there's a thread about it somewhere.

I went to Wales yesterday in the 2CV it was nice.

Is it time for a cuppa?

Ooh, ooh, 55 members is a great idea and you can only become one of the 55 when a member dies. Cool eh?

Can we have a secret handshake, for when we never meet?

Considering all MGB owners are supposed to be in their 80's, there ain't going to be a very long wait for a place in the club! rolleyesbiglaugh

Yup - original designer, no sweariness and put-able in a tax disc holder.

Not that a vote counts in a non-existent club...? You ain't seen me, roight?!

Yup - agree with the posh. Don't like the silly face - people might think we are a group of 'tards with that on.
