I think there won't be unless it's a V6.

Suspects: late 50s Giulia Spider, 2 litre Berlina in rally guise, 2600 Sprint or Berlina, Zagato Junior, Montreal.
I've been to see a couple, but I just don't feel the love for the 75. I know the transaxle cars drive really well (the GTV6 certainly does), but I don't like the lines of the 75. It's the same with the 4-door Alfettas.

Looking at a Sprint Speciale project car in France. smile

Might take a punt on a Lancia Fulvia this weekend if the price is right. It's an itch I've had for a while.

My friend Chris is THE Lancia specialist and you NEED TO talk to him before you look at ANY Lancia. Really, there's a lot of crap out there. And Lancia don't compare to Alfa: sophisticated stuff.

As I come to think of it: would it be a good idea to do a Bertone 105 meetup?

If so, I will put up a PH-topic and make it happen.

Dutch Spring Run numero 8 this year but August would be a great month to do a BOR: Bertone Only Run.

Belgium / N-France would be my choice of roads. Imagine, just imagine.

Chin stroking moment ...I do wonder how and why the GTV (and most Alfas come to that , along with the original Lotus Elan and Dino 246 )manage to convey an uncompromised sporting image , often backed up by success on track , but manage to do so with none of the faux aggressive styling which make such as the E Type Jaguar and Ferrari Daytona then and every modern BMW M , Jaguar and Merc AMG now look so laughably macho ? You might not trust a Duetto enough to leave it alone with your teenage daughter but , unlike an M3, it won't try to pick a fight with your teenage son.

This is why these cars are timeless. And will be so in the next so decades.

They offer a splendid and engaging drive for both boy and girl. You can attack the roads as a madman but can also cruise and feel utterly relaxed. So rewarding.

I think power is the thing here. Who needs 500 brake when you can enjoy driving with 100-200 bhp in a perfect package?

For me the 1750 GTV is sublime and perfect. No need to dream of a Daytona. Although... a Maserati 3500 / 5000 GT is in my dreamgarage. I never drove a 2.5 V8 Montreal but I think it would dissapoint as an overdone car. One day...

Brave pills needed but about £5k for a Alfa Romeo Sprint Bertone must be the cheapest in Europe.
164hp v6.

'Had' is the word, looking at the photos it doesn't have an engine at all!

Ahah. To be clear, I have not bought this....was just posting here to appeal to the ambitious &/or relatively skint amongst the thread-dwellers. Its about £5k in ERII pounds.
