Hi Mound Dawg, I recently bought the car from New Zealand where it had a full restoration by a guy called Alan Bowden of Car Restorations. Alan made the aluminium skin for the boot and bonnet.
The engine is a fully rebuilt 2.0 with a twin Weber 40DCOE
Other bits are lowered centreline suspension, new interior from Alfaholics, Petronix electronic ignition, master cylinder relined with stainless steel.
The car was originally sold in the UK on 4-5-72, Victoria Motors in Cirencester serviced the car until it was exported to NZ in. 1974.

What would you be looking at in cost terms to acquire something like that?

Looks great, are you going to bring it to our track day in April?

15 to 20k I'd expect.

This topic is becoming a Bertone nirvana!

15-20K BPs I guess? Exact and rally spec cars can be twice the price of a good and sound but slightly modded or scratched car. It's great Alfa produced so many: bang for the buck galore.

That's lovely, but it's proximity to salt water is causing me palpitations.
hehe

Thanks. That feels quite reasonable in the context of the current market.

I'd say around £20,000. My car has NZ$ 45000 of invoices which is about £20,000. Purchase price would be about £25,000 in today's market.

That is actually a rain water pool. The wheels, tyres and insides of the wings were hosed down afterwards.

I agree with those figures for that model.
There is a pecking order for the mass produced variants of these lovely Bertone coupes;
in general terms the early step fronts at the top, followed by the 1750s, followed by the 2000GTV
and with all the later non step front, smaller engined types bringing up the rear.
