The Fulvia is also on my to-buy list. The only ones I see for sale are either very expensive or optimistically-priced wrecks. I'm sure I'll find one eventually!

Dryden: I guess these cars have been around for 40-something years and have been set up to owners pref specs. Each have become different cgaracters. The Fulvia used to be a rally champ so yes, I can imagine your reply. The GTV feels more robust to me and the torquey engine has that raunchy bite I prefer in a 60s car. The Fulvia felt more feminine.

David: There are loads of Fulvia's in DIY-mode in the classifieds. IMO you better look away. Lancia used to be an engineers car brand and the tech used is exquisite and original thought out. Alfa used more down to earth - common sense - tech in their cars. I'm not a mechanic but I can only imagine the Alfa's to be easier to work on. Am I right?

I don't know - as far as I can remember I don't think I've ever worked on a Lancia.

(Have too many other jobs to do at present - have to finish off the Sunbeam, weld the new floors in the mini, so I won't be buying one this year!)

Good luck on the Mini and the Alpine.

Surely if he is your step-dad he should be competing a step-front rather than a later unificato version?!

My young son has a 1600 GT Junior.

Though its a 39000 mile original car it's being bare metal painted and de-vinyled.

Great little car which he will use sparingly

All I need now is a picture or two of the sublime - and very rare- 2600 Sprint....Anybody own one of these gems ? (they may be ghastly to drive for all I know - no idea- but with looks like that who cares?)

Saw a hard top version of this last weekend - went to a classic rally in the next village. Ubelieveable - more than 250 cars and there were some real stunners.

Forgot to take the camera frown

Cracking cars, and photos.

Four years ago I went to look at an old British barge in a barn, not too many miles from here, and alongside said barge was parked a Junior, covered in dust wearing period "Turbina" alloys. Checking DVLA confirms that it is a late-70s 1570cc model and was last taxed in 2001. I'm quite tempted to go and see if it's still there or not, mmmm...

18-20 years ago, while perusing a scrapyard near Stockport, I found a rusty Junior parked up. I kick myself now for not rescuing the smart set of hubcaps that were lying on a seat (doh).
