I think there won't be unless it's a V6.

Suspects: late 50s Giulia Spider, 2 litre Berlina in rally guise, 2600 Sprint or Berlina, Zagato Junior, Montreal.

My friend Chris is THE Lancia specialist and you NEED TO talk to him before you look at ANY Lancia. Really, there's a lot of crap out there. And Lancia don't compare to Alfa: sophisticated stuff.

As I come to think of it: would it be a good idea to do a Bertone 105 meetup?

If so, I will put up a PH-topic and make it happen.

Dutch Spring Run numero 8 this year but August would be a great month to do a BOR: Bertone Only Run.

Belgium / N-France would be my choice of roads. Imagine, just imagine.

I do wonder how and why the GTV (and most Alfas come to that , along with the original Lotus Elan and Dino 246 ) manage to convey an uncompromised sporting image, often backed up by success on track, but manage to do so with none of the faux aggressive styling which make such as the E Type Jaguar and Ferrari Daytona look so laughably macho? You might not trust a Duetto enough to leave it alone with your teenage daughter but, unlike an M3, it won't try to pick a fight with your teenage son.
This is why these cars are timeless. And will be so in the next so decades.

They offer a splendid and engaging drive for both boy and girl. You can attack the roads as a madman but can also cruise and feel utterly relaxed. So rewarding.

I think power is the thing here. Who needs 500 brake when you can enjoy driving with 100-200 bhp in a perfect package?

For me the 1750 GTV is sublime and perfect. No need to dream of a Daytona. Although... a Maserati 3500 / 5000 GT is in my dreamgarage. I never drove a 2.5 V8 Montreal but I think it would dissapoint as an overdone car. One day...

This topic is becoming a Bertone nirvana!

15-20K BPs I guess? Exact and rally spec cars can be twice the price of a good and sound but slightly modded or scratched car. It's great Alfa produced so many: bang for the buck galore.

In the Dutch market original Junior Stepfronts (1300, 1600) top the market, closely followed by early GTVs. Later models and conversions (Junior to 1750 / 2000) are the bulk of the market. High spec rally / fast road specials top the market but they are a niche.

My pick would be a later model (post 1973) with more space for my feet wink Davids 1750 GTV is a perfect example. Mustard yellow or lavender blue would be great. The lighter colours suit the Giugiaro penned body very well.

It's a bit complicated I know.

Wiki: All other step-front models - Giulia Sprint GT, Giulia Sprint GT Veloce, and early GT 1300 Junior with flat dashboard - featured this item on the right hand side.

Charles Morgan on the 240 brake Giulia GT by Alfaholics.

Wow. A bit over the top in engineering - 8 mins at the 'Ring! - but what a glorious thing.
