Help identifying a strange little car
Discussion
I really dont have any idea what that car is but it looks to be an amalgam of various different vehicles. It definately has damage front and rear and possibly the slope of the front endis exxagerated by the shunt, I would say it certainly has a air scoop at the front and looking at the grille and lights if the front end was lifted slightly it would have suggestions of Aston Martin, the expanse of roof above the windscreen has reminiscences of the ugly early Lotus as raced by Jackie Stewart while the rear has element of possibly Fiat, Skoda, Simca, Renault and probably many more. THe other thing I would suggest is that if the front was straightened up slightly it would look jus a bit too modern to be fifties to my mind more early sixties.
Anyone think there are some similarities with a Deutsch-bonnet.
Has this already been suggested
This 55 has the high brow roof line.

THe overall shape of the HB5 is similar.

Cars have Le Mans history too, so at lest some context with the photo.

The HBR5 does look remarkably close:
The only things being the faired headlights, side vent and its a little too 'in proportion'
Seriously? Look at where the back axle is relative to the cabin. The only things being the faired headlights, side vent and its a little too 'in proportion'
Look at the a-pillars.
Look at the quarterlight.
The rake of the windscreen...
Everything basically

Wild guess, I can see the rear bumper hanging down, front has been in an accident. I can see a line on the C pillar, might be smaller than it looks, i.e the rear window too.
There is a model called a Peugeot 403 Coupe Henri Chapron, I believe is a special converted from a cabriolet. Not even sure how many were produced.
Looks like this:

On page 29 of Classic and Sportscar December isue is a small pic of a
Fiat Siata 1100 103,one of 14 built.
It could be this car.
Pics quite small and don't know if it can be reproduced here.
Anyone else have a copy of the mag ?
