I laughed at 11.03. I've spent the last 7 hours racking my brains and I need closure. Whoever has the time machine, please put us out of our misery.

I'm pretty sure that if anyone did invent a time machine they wouldn't trust any of us with it wink

Yes, it appears so. They have four wheels and look old, ergo they must be the car in the pic.

It's not just this thread, have a look at almost any sleeper/Q car thread ever started, and you'll get a bunch of pictures of hugely modified cars with massive wheels, arches, roll cages etc.

Agree with you there.
It used be with a sense of anticipation that I'd open up this thread every time a new post was made, in the hope that, finally, the car would be identified.
Now it's, just apathy and wondering what disappointing / preposterous "Is this it?" photo has been posted.

Apologies to those, who like myself, will now be disappointed again, that this thread has been updated without getting any closer to identifying the car.

Also if you look closer at the wheels they're almost the same?

DId any other manufacture at that time use that distinctive type of wheel?

762 pages of a French identify a 1960s car thread, I've only just started and up to page 11 but lunch beckons so if anyone wants to see if the car or that photo has been posted on there with an answer it might be worth a look.

Found that the photo was posted on page 188 in 2010 4 years before this thread started - http://www.forum-auto.com/automobiles-mythiques-ex...

I don't think I have found a definitive answer yet.

Yes, the two I posted on Friday used the same, it's a fairly generic design based around Renault 4cv running gear, as used by loads of small French manufactures.
