Great little car...my first car was a seven saloon that had been "converted" to a tourer by cutting the roof off! Enthusiastic cornering made the doors fly open! As a '27 car should it not have a magneto? Not too difficult to convert back. Very jealous.

A Magneto crankcase and a Distributer crankcase are totally different, so conversion "back" to mag is not possible !!!!!

Love Austin 7's. Grew up with them racing them around rubber plantations in Malaysia. Will keep an eye on this! Good luck

I came across a similar thread elsewhere on PH. This is really starting to peak my interest.

Must admit, the LWB Austin 7 Ulster is appealing.

Also came across an intriguing business whilst dreaming the other day. Check out http://www.flyingsevens.co.uk, they have a very cute Austin 7 special on there, amongst other variants. Dream, dream...
