More questions - are the aluminium upper tailgates stiff enough, and are 205R16 tyres still the favoured choice on the standard alloys?
225/75,or 235/70 are the alternatives and give far more options. You will probably need to adjust the steering locks stops for 235 tyres.

That's quite a bit of extra tyre on the same wheel - any difference in how they drive with 235s?

I used to have these dreadful wheels on mine with 265s didn't seem to foul anything, happily I now have proper original wheels

Not a fan of adding rubber to cars. It fills the steering, reduces mpg and on Rangies removes off-road capabilities. I had 255s on my Overfinch and at that width they bugger the turning circle also. I ran it for a while with a set of standard 205s and I didn't have any traction issues and it handled better.

I'd say I'd only chose 225s over 205s if it was a much better quality tyre for less money as they don't bring anything tangible to the party otherwise.

I'm also running 205R16's and feel that there would be nothing gained by having wider tyres given the cars capabilities.

I bought a set of Uniroyal Rain Experts for around £400 and although not a typical brand for a Rangie I rate them very highly indeed. Quiet, comfortable and, as the name alludes, outstanding in the wet.

I am on 235's and adjustment was needed. Just swapped last month from 225's which were fine.

First guess would be that a previous owner had already adjusted the front to make room for 235s?

One of mine (on the left) and my dads (on the right) out for a bit of an explore in the snow.

Mine is 1993/94 hard dash with EAS and brooklands kit from factory. I've recently fitted a tuned 4.6.
The other is a 1994 softdash overfinch 4.6

Makes sense, it's not a big job after all.

I have a replacement alloy tailgate on my 91 RRC I find I have to close it by pushing both lower corners shut, if I just use the handle it doesn't seal properly. also the heated rear window doesn't want to play anymore
Mine will latch both sides but just won't stay latched once on the move. I've tried and tried but can't do it. I also have issues with the heated rear screen so I suspect I may have to spring for a new ali one altogether in due course. Shame as the current one has been resprayed and looks fine. Maybe its warped a little as it wasn't new.
I shall try one of these element repair kits as I have one line that works but not the rest. I can't quite get my head around how this can be as there appears to be a complete circuit as all the lines are attached to each other at both ends.

I think my windscreen might.

Has anyone swapped air suspension bladders, as opposed to the whole unit?

Ideal environment for a Rangie. RR was a real game changer when it appeared in 1970. and the Classic design has become timeless.

Both sunroofs tilted open, do you have misting issues?

No misting issues, just like a bit of fresh air, I think the old man is the same smile

Have you adjusted the threaded bar mechanism on the inside? Take the right angle cover off the inside and you'll see how it works. You need a couple of small spanners to adjust the tension of the latches. You'll soon work out which way to go. Do a bit on each side at a time. Also give the latches a thorough lubing. Work them open and shut as you do it to get rid of all the crud in them (don't have the lower tailgate open whilst you do this!).
