Almost exactly like the one my mum rolled into gorse bushes in - ooh - 1980. I was in the back seat of Granny's BMW 320 just behind. I'll never forget the way the underside looked as it flipped, the massive transaxle.
Mother was putting on her seatbelt, we learned later.
The worst injury was to Granny's legs from the gorse. We had a day off school.
We'd driven to Southern Italy in that car, much of which journey I spent lying sideways in the boot on top of suitcases and sleeping bags. Beach Boys on the stereo. The vinyl seats burned your legs after a day by the sea.

Lovely car, well done you.

Have just been rummaging in the Coys Auction website results and came across this. Does this belong to anyone here? Has the restoration been completed?

What are the odds of Mike's (He ran the Cubs in town and his son was one of my Scouts) dad's Rangie ending up at Coys! World never gets any bigger! That sounds awfully cheap for an early RRC

Slightly sad day but as the time had come to start reducing the number of Rangies it had to come:

Sad day. Lovely looking car. Will be interesting to see what the Hunt Tax is!

biggrin

He sold my Overfinch for me. The important thing about the tax is that it is less than the Govt ask for, it's more enjoyable to pay and I suspect it is spent more wisely.

It's a perfect car for GH as it is an ideal toy to have in Town and use as a fun family bus to all the summer social events. It's £30k to have a wagon that you can park next to anything anyone else will turn up with and hold its own.

It's a cracking car and as a bit of history it is the model that kicked off the whole premium SUV market and there were only a few hundred of them made and almost all are gone. I'd love to keep it but I have to whittle the number of cars down this year.

Hi Paul. I think so biggrin. It's been long enough but the children are just about old enough that a 2 door isn't going to be a huge inconvenience. I still have a niggling doubt that I'll regret parting with my current 4 door as it is a superb example.

Looks like a lovely example, I really should get my finger out and sort my own 2 door In Vogue, best of luck with the sale!

Thanks. I have some In Vogue stuff left over such as door capping sets and hamper straps that I'll be sticking up on EBay as I had a few sets made as they're hens teeth.
