Sourcing - Google Simba 4x4
Darren the owner has been v helpful
He sources them from SA and deals with all the importation and paperwork
There are 2 White RRCs on eBay one 2 door one 4 door - believe he has now sold both.
He can do works, paint etc or supply as is for a project
How much does it stand you, a quick look at SA sites and they seem to come in between SAR20-30k (£1-2k) for a non rusty project, obv before shipping etcDarren the owner has been v helpful

And that's uk road legal mot and v5 all duties paid etc
But am sure diy is cheaper.
Container loaded at Jo'burg, delivered to you for unloading is £3,500 (give or take USD/GBP fluctuations) and will take 2 Rangies.
Solid Rangies can be sourced in SA for less than £1,000 as old cars are for peasants and no one wants them locally.
Using SA labour to retrim is a smart idea as a basic retrim in the UK using best match materials is just over £2k and nearly all of that is labour.
I think that if it's done properly then most would be willing to pay quite an amount on top to get a solid car all ready to drive away.

That's what I concluded, good to hearI think that if it's done properly then most would be willing to pay quite an amount on top to get a solid car all ready to drive away.
It's not the exact colour but it will look good with Tuscan blue

Do make sure they sling a whole load of carpet and seat material in the boot for you. Some decent sections and a load of off its. It'll cost bugger all and mean that if you find any bits of work you don't like you can have them redone here. Or if you damage anything you can fix it. If anyone can source one for that sort of money I'd be up for sharing the costs of shipping.Solid Rangies can be sourced in SA for less than £1,000 as old cars are for peasants and no one wants them locally.

Did you get anywhere with these? I'd like to do mine before the winter, but it's a lot of money if they are rubbish.
Rick,It looks like this is the only option currently. A chap I know with a couple of very nice classics has some and seemed happy enough. I think he has fitted a set.
The co itself seem to have a good rep.
I shall investigate them in due course.
Afternoon chaps,
My apologies for lowering the tone and discussing money but it has recently come to light that I may be undervaluing mine.
I've had a few of my clients and a local LR specialist mention values on mine recently and they've all been higher than I thought.
So, purely hypothetically, what do you think mine is worth? She's never getting sold but it'd be good to have her insured correctly.
3.5 Vogue SE. In excellent working order, no leaks and 145k, bodywork not perfect but very presentable from a few yards, floors all good, tailgate has a large spot of rust.
Thanks

No leaks?
It must have run out of oil.
Hard to judge values these days isn't it?
I'd insure it for £5,000.

That's what I thought when I first got her too! But she really doesn't. I service her every 5000 and it hardly drops at all. Uses the smallest amount of coolant too. Most un-Landy like!It must have run out of oil.

Thanks for that link, gives a good idea and is higher than I had. I'm just sitting out agreed valuation for the red car in the picture so will speak to them about this as well.
I have seen this 83 4 door Range Rover for sale in Spain.

I need a left hand drive. I like the fact that this is automatic and has factory ac. The condition looks good generally. The seller has sent lots of pictures and videos. Everything works.
I don't know how to value it though.
Any views? Anyone near Valencia that could look at it for me?
Thanks
