Any excuse to put a picture up - I just picked mine up from the wheel refurbishers. I'm really pleased with the job they did. Although the rest of the car isn't exactly mint, the wheels were really bad and let it down. I also bought some Autoglym bumper restorer and I am amazed by the results. The end caps, rad grill and sill covers look lots better without streaks, or any stickiness.

Looks great. Plymouth Blue?

Mine could do with some bumper restorer! Will keep an eye out for it.

Yes, it is Plymouth Blue. I used the Autoglym stuff on the spoiler, mirrors the lot. Grey to black in no time!

now then...

obviously the CSK was 2 door only but I cant help thinking this 1982 4 door is super cool, and would look great on CSK wheels. in fact its a bit like forerunner of CSK with its original beige interior

early 4 doors are virtually the same inside as the 2 door, still have tilting front seats in fact.

and this was special order black from the factory

needs a good fettle up and a few details changing (eg Defennder wing mirrors, later lower tailgate, bit of paint needed, wooden door trims need doing etc etc )

not sure now whether to keep the 1980 2 door when that arrives from South Africa or accept that early 4 doors are cool in their own way, bit more practical and effectively the same from behind the drivers seat and being dragged up by 2 door values

thoughts?

I bought it as is.
3" lift kit, Dislocating springs, cranked arms, it had the original v8 with lpg removed and 200tdi put in.

I have really enjoyed owning it so far. Both on road and offroad.
Currently considering what to do next. Either get rid of it or kitting it out as a breakdown assistance vehicle and putting it to work occasionaly.

i know. which is why I found the asking price even more amazing. Defender mirrors, and not sure the centre console is period correct either. looks good, though

2 clues for you... screw on petrol cap (should be black) and proper sharp edges raised lettering. A nice early one

My new acquisition.. Funny how it all comes full circle having been "forwarded dated" probably in the 80s and will be now be restored to period correct

I would buy as many as I could afford. What other cool v8 powered classic car that's usable can you buy for sub £20k?

ICONIC

Only going one way imho

I quite fancy buying a lhd 3Dr from Spain. Cheap flight down, drive back picking up booze on the way. Most Spanish models seem to have the vm diesel which I would have to swap for something woofly.

Does anyone know of a car site they use in Spain? Ebay sp doesn't seem to have much on.

These bone dry 3dr models lasted in production there alongside the updated classic models and seem to be available from 3k
