Notice Kingsley cars have a load of lhd slightly shabby Lhd - mostly 2 door - classics for sale as restoration projects .
Seems strange when they are known for pricey refurbishments/ used vehicles , have they found a way to make a quick buck or did they buy a load in expecting to sell many of their high value ' new' classic models like the white one in earlier post and find it hard going ?

They seem to be flogging everything at the moment. It took years for that white car to sell (if it has now gone) and I suspect they've not sold many others. The owner isn't exactly revered in RR circles and the customers looking to spend that sort of money are likely to end up in conversation with some of the others. Recently discovered this thread and have read through it over the last couple of weeks.
In July I acquired a 1994 (95MY) Range Rover Vogue LSE (soft dash) restoration project. It's in Ardennes Green with cream interior. I spent months and months looking for potential purchases, nothing good enough turned up, then after I gave up looking regularly (I was offered a 1969 LR Series 11A), this one turns up just 12 miles from home!
Mechanically it seems fine though I haven't been able to drive it properly yet. It has been standing for 13 years! It mainly needed a new top tailgate (bought), new rear crossmember (recently fitted), various welding patches to the shell and floors (some done), new outer sills and inner sill body mounts, some patches on the bulkhead and new air suspension airbags. It also needs some other minor bits like headlining, paint patches etc.
I'm really pleased with it as it's in pretty much exactly the spec that I would have ordered if I had the order form at the time (and the money!). Had I'd not bought it it would have gone to the breakers and scrapyard . I am restoring it with my dad, and hopefully it will return to the road sometime next year.

What I would like help with is re cosmetics and ongoing:
- Recommendation re sorting headlining and sunroof blind (falling off). Car has a sunroof if this makes any difference.
- Does anyone know of a someone familiar with rustproofing a Classic?
Many thanks.
Nice purchase! There's a guy down in Taunton who supplies and fits new headlinings. I've used him and his work his top notch. I've lost his contact details but I'm sure someone else will know who I mean.- Recommendation re sorting headlining and sunroof blind (falling off). Car has a sunroof if this makes any difference.

Am going to do a post in leasing vs purchase thread, but RR as pictured above is panning out so far at £2995 plus £762 service etc, few hundred headlining and £400 approx tyres. Now need to use and acid test reliability. Will be used a LOT. I still reckon Inc fuel will be cheaper than a new lease E Class over three years and 40k miles....and more fun. Only issue not solved is ABS light. Do I need to take to LR main dealer to solve re codes etc?

You can read the codes yourself. You don't need a code reader. This one owner 1974 model has just been listed here in NZ.

Prices here are tending to be high as in the U.K. What should this one be worth??
Starting bid at $9,999 so about £5,400.
