Your uncle was, of course, a gent, Clapham GT3, and added some class to the Interceptor.

A few more of mine taken at Goodwood today.

And loads of other lovely pics

Sorry for the poor photo quality - was using my Blackberry
I think you've hit on something there. Those pictures look like in-period shots taken with an "analogue" camera.

Some lovely examples here.

What a great thread. And what great cars they are. I have been a fan since they were first launched back in 1970. Here are a couple of my early two doors, both Suffix A , one a Davos white car and the other Masai Red. Such good colour names as well. There must be a little room at Land Rover where someone spends all day thinking up names for colours!

Absolutely wonderful looking cars. Do I remember reading an article about your Davos White RR in LRM some years ago? Also something in Octane rings a bell. Stunning cars.

Indeed you are quite correct the Daos car was in both magazines and amusingly made it onto the cover of Octane for the "cool" issue along with James Dean and Steve McQueen. I think that's pushing it a bit though

Indeed but some people do insist that James Dean was cool.

That's another point. Have you checked the spark IGs to see if the engine is running lean?

Also, if the timing is a little too retarded then this can cause the engine to run hotter?
I'll check the plugs when less hungover and see if I can find someone to check the timing.m thanks for all the suggestions.

I did manage to mend the driving light and fix the rear seat locking mechanism though....

Great thread. They are more and more on the streets of SW london, even my kids are noticing them.

Anyone know of any uprated Anti rollbars for air sprung cars?

Need to be a bit careful fitting uprated anti-roll bars, they can make the car awfully fidgety over drain lids etc in a straight line as a side effect. Nothing wrong with a bit of body roll in a Range Rover, not like a discovery where the C of G is a bit too high.

Yup. My 89 doesn't have rollbars. CSK designed them to pivot on a very low centre but they ended up fitting the handling kit as road use became much more prevalent and many people didn't like the roll.

I'm fitting the standard front and rears to my 72 in due course.

Well, figured I might join in this discussion smile

I currently own 3 of these fine machines, one I posted a rebuild thread of on here, a 1991 CSK. I also have a 1981 In Vogue that needs some attention although not anywhere near as bad as the CSK did. Last night I went to collect my latest addition, a 1993 Vogue SE Auto with brooklands bumpers on air.

I shall post a few photos of the recent one when I get a chance to take some, might even venture down a few greenlanes this weekend.

That should bring the average price of early RRs up.

Callan, white RR, very dark tint to the windows, nudging the farm gate open, then destroying many greenhouses.
